PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for stuff cutting work to form an exhaust port and accurately positioning the exhaust port when an air bag is expanded by making part of the outer periphery of the sewed air bag uncontinuous to form the uncontinuous portion as the exhaust hole. SOLUTION: A basic cloth 21 is bent with openings 24 at both ends to be fitted together so that both ends 21a, 21b are overlapped each other to provide sewing points 23 with the openings 24 therebetween. In this way, an overlapped area 26 surrounding the openings 24 is formed, where more strength is provided. Part of the outer periphery of a sewed air bag is made uncontinuous to form an exhaust port 25. The need for basic cloth cutting work to form the exhaust hole is eliminated and the exhaust port is accurately positioned when an air bag is expanded. |
