PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form bright pixels having heat resistance and color fading resistance without requiring the use of an easily breakable dyestuff donative sheet. SOLUTION: a) A glass base is coated with a polymer dyestuff image receptive layer. b) The image receptive layer is coated with at least one additive mixture color primaries dyestuff from a solvent which does not swell or penetrate the image receptive layer. c) A stencil mask of the desired pixel shapes is placed on the surface of the image receptive layer by bringing the stencil into perfect contact with the surface of the layer. d) The dyestuff is melted in the image receptive layer by using a solvent vapor treatment using a solvent which swells or penetrates the image receptive layer. e) The stencil mask is removed. f) All of the unmolten dyestuff are removed by solvent washing. g) From b) to f) described above are repeated twice by using another additive mixture color primaries dyestuff.
