SOLUTION: In the control means 15 of a power steering device 1, a soft start control means 22 gradually increases a target current signal IMS suddenly increased at the time of starting from 0 to a target current IMS supplied from a target current setting means 21 based on ignition information IG supplied from an up ignition switch 18 and supplies this as a slow target current signal IMF to a multiplication means 27. If the ignition information IG of an H level is inputted at this time, a correction stop signal Sr is outputted from a correction stop means 28 by using the signal thereof as a trigger, a correction determining signal JH is held at an L level and unloading control is prohibited during soft start controlling.
