PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a filter assembly completely on a housing without causing complexity of a manufacturing process in an inflator for inflating an airbag. SOLUTION: In this inflator for airbag provided with a filtering means for filtering and cooling combustion gas fixed on a cylindrical housing 1, a jetting hole forming part where a plurality of jetting holes 4 are distributed in the form of bands along the axial direction as a whole is formed at the peripheral wall of the housing. The filtering means consists of a thin plate-shaped filtering material 32, and the frame member 33 for clamping the outer periphery of the filtering material 32, and is fixed on the housing 1 with the frame member 33 so as to cover the jetting hole forming part. A position regulating means at the outer edge of the frame member 33 is formed at the body of the housing 1. |
