FIELD: metallurgy applicable in manufacture of wire and other products, mainly, long ones with coatings. SUBSTANCE: the offered electrolyzer is made in form of tubular metallic body. Body upper part has slotted opening made over its entire length. Installed on body ends are plugs from dielectric with difficult fusible tubes pressed in its center. Body hollow accommodates electrodes in form of disks electrically connected with body. Electrodes have chamfered holes to pass wire, fluid passage, concentration of electrical charges, and radial slotted openings. The device for wire cleaning has coaxially installed pulsed tubular electrolyzer and washing unit, vessel for collection of working fluid separated by partitions of the system for supply of solutions and power. Electrolyzer and washing unit are electrically connected with current source. In this case, they are isolated from vessel for collection of working fluid. Sealing chambers are provided on end faces of washing unit. Chambers hollows are filled with dispersed conducting material.
