PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a flicker due to interference between a flashing on/off period of a fluorescent lamp and a drive period of stereoscopic image observing glasses. SOLUTION: Video signals of left/right are supplied to a double speed conversion circuit l, and is converted into a double speed to be supplied to a selector 2. The selector 2 selects a video L for a left eye when an L/R identification signal is 'High', and selects the video R for a right eye when 'Low' to supply them to a monitor (CRT) 3 driven at a double speed of a regular time. Then, the video L for the left eye and the video R for the right eye are displayed alternately on the monitor 3 at the period of 1/2 times of a field period. On the other hand, the L/R identification signal and its inversion signal are adjusted respectively in their duty ratios by pulse width setting circuits 7L, 7R so that a shutter open period becomes longer than a shutter close period to be supplied to respective left/right liquid crystal shutters 6L, 6R of the stereoscopic image observing glasses 6 through shutter control circuits 4L, 4R. Thus, a stereoscopic image suppressing the flicker is observed by observing the monitor 3 through the stereoscopic image observing glasses 6. |
