PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the blank layout of the side plate of a duct simple and obtain good joint strength. SOLUTION: Relating to a rectangular casing-shaped damper 10 in which a vane 20 is axially held on a rotary shaft 21 a flange 12 which connects the damper 10 to a duct is formed by bending outward of an end at each side of a side plate 11 forming the damper 10, corner members 15 each having an L-shaped side are attached, one being superposed on the other, to two adjacent flange parts of the side plate placed at a right angle to each other, and through the flange 12 a plurality of elliptical fastening holes 13 are opened at prescribed intervals for clamping members to be passed through to fasten the damper 10 and duct together. The major axis of each of the elliptical fastening holes intersects the direction of the periphery of the flange 12. Through the corner members 15 and in the direction of the thickness elliptical holes 18, 19 are opened, each of which holes allows a clamping member through in common with the fastening holes of a damper differing in dimensional standards. The major axis of each of the elliptical holes 18, 19 intersects the lengthwise direction of the corner member 15. |
