<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the repeater to connect to terminal equipments of different standards and to simplify the configuration of a LAN. SOLUTION: A data signal received by an input port 11 is given to a preamble detection circuit 13 via a receiver circuit 12. The preamble detection circuit 14 detects a preamble of the data signal. An input signal measurement circuit 14 obtains the transmission speed of the data signal based on the detected preamble and informs it to a clock controller 17. The clock controller 17 generates a clock signal in response to the transmission speed and gives it to a waveform shaping circuit 18. The waveform shaping circuit 18 shapes a waveform of the data signal in response to the clock signal from the clock controller and provides an output of the result to a driver circuit 19.</p> |
