PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a processing time till a display by segmenting the paper map of FD of a map preparing maker into a mesh size smaller than a page unit. SOLUTION: The FD is segmented into the page unit of the paper map (like in pages i, i+1, j, j+1). At the time of performing a display, the FD is provide with a virtual area shown by a broken line as a plotting area and a display area (b) is made in the virtual area and the map data of the display area (b) are displayed. Hence, the management of the plotting area and the display area is performed in the mesh unit segmented smaller than the page. Since the FD is moved to memories in an HDD, the management of the memories is also performed in the mesh unit. |
