<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deformation of a bottom plate at the time of small size recording paper being set. SOLUTION: In order to specify the size of recording paper placed on a bottom plate 32, a side fence 35 is slidably provided on a body case 30. This side fence 35 is rotatably provided with an arm, and the bottom plate 32 is provided with a joint 36 movable along the sliding movement of the side fence 35. A tension spring 38 is provided between the joint 36 and the free end of the arm, and a paper feeding cassette 8 provided with these members is mounted to a device body. In this case, an arm guide comes in contact with the arm to guide the arm upward, and paper feeding pressure is applied from a feed roller 9. When the side fence 35 is moved to place small size recording paper from large size recording paper, for instance, the pulling position of the bottom plate 32 by the tension spring 38 is changed, and as a result, moment applied to the bottom plate 32 becomes small.</p> |
