<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a plate-type heat exchanger to be cleaned during its operation without feeding chlorine and also without using any spare device. SOLUTION: An inlet cooling pipe 2 and an inlet branch pipe 5 are connected over plate-type heat exchangers 1a, 1b. In addition, to the plate-type heat exchangers 1a, 1b are connected an outlet cooling water pipe 3 and an outlet branch pipe 6. There is provided an ice heat accumulating device 7 for use in introducing cold water through feeding pipes 8a, 8b to sea water flowing at the inlet cooling pipe 3 and the inlet branch pipe 5. During operation of the plate-type heat exchangers 1a, 1b, cold water fed from the ice heat accumulating device 7 is fed into sea water, its temperature is decreased to cause some marine living things adhering to the main body of the plate to be perished.</p> |
