MITE-CONTROLLING AGENT FOR SOIL TREATMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mite-controlling agent for soil treatment by combining a mite-controlling compound which is highly effective against mite but safe to human and warm-blood animals without anxiety about environmental pollution with a specific synergist, thus maintaining the capability of controlling mite for a long period of time. SOLUTION: (4-Ethoxphenyl)[3-(4-fluoro-3-phenoxyphenyl)propyl] (dimethyl) silane is used as an active ingredient and is combined with one or two compounds selected from 2-butoxy-2'-thiocyanodiethyl ether, 2-thiocyanatoethyl laurate and ethyl thiocyanatoacetate as a synergist. The weight ratio of the active ingredient to the synergist is preferably 1/1-1/10. This mite-controlling agent for soil treatment is preferably in the form of water-based preparations and the content of the active ingredient is some 0.5-15wt.% in the preparation.
