SOLUTION: In order to accurately detect the welded defect in the inner surface of the electric resistance welded tube 5 with the groove at the inner diameter, the outer surface of the welded place is formed by using a ultra high pressure sintered body of a diamond or a cubic system born nitride, etc., to the edge part 3 and cut with an outer surface bead cutter forming 0-18 deg. rake angle and 25-35 deg. clearance angle of the recessed round part. Further, a rake face of the outer surface bead cutter 2 is inclined backward at 6 15 deg. and also, arranged at 0-15 deg. side rake angle to the side direction and the outer surface bead cutter is fitted to the tool post. In such a way, the radius R of the tube is finished to within R±0.03 dimensional precision and at the same time, the surface roughness of the cutting surface is finished to <=5S. Lastly, a flaw mark is given to the defective part with an eddy current flaw detector.
