PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a soft and flexible fiber formed body excellent in industrial washing resistance, having antimicrobial ability, difficult to be fatigued against compression, high moisture and water permeabilities and causing little problems in the environmental aspects and to provide its production. SOLUTION: This fiber formed body consists of an antimicrobial polyester fiber A mixed with an antimicrobial component and melamine component, a polyester fiber B untreated by an antimicrobial processing and a conjugate fiber C which consists of a polyester R2 as a core component and a thermoplastic polymer R1 having a melting point >=20 deg.C lower than those of the polyester A and B as a sheath component. At least, a part of contact points between the mntural conjugate fibers C and between the conjugate fiber C and the polyesters A and B are bonded. Those constituent fibers A, B and C are arranged so that their fiber axes are parallel with one another against a cross section (bdef) of the thickness direction of the fiber formed body and randomly dispersed in the cross-section (bdef) in the thickness direction. An amount of deflection of the fiber formed body is 5-20cm. |
