PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical piece retrieval device capable of easily retrieving a desired musical piece in accordance with the melody of the desired musical piece inputted by voices via a voice input means, such as a microphone, without executing the operation to input the data on the difficult and intricate melody in executing the retrieval of the desired musical piece from the many musical pieces with a KARAOKE sing-along machine, etc. SOLUTION: The voice data inputted via the microphone 1 are converted to pitch data and tone length data constituting the voice data with an A/D converter 2, an FFT 3 and a power spectrum analyzing means 4. Respective pieces of the pitch data and tone length data are converted to code data consisting of a frequency(f) and duration time(t) by a pitch identifying means 5 and, thereafter, candidate music is retrieved in accordance with whether the code data thereby and the code data of the respective musical pieces coincide or not or resemble or not while a code dictionary 6 is referenced in a candidate music comparing and retrieving means 7. The candidate music is specified by a candidate specifying means 9 and a musical piece dictionary 8 and is displayed on the display of a monitor 12. |
