PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless motor which can reduce the cost by improving its efficiency and simplifying its structure. SOLUTION: The motor is provided with a shaft 6, a rotator 60 which is fitted rotatably to the shaft 6 and has a plurality of field magnets 63a to 63d, a stator for forming a rotating magnetic field to permit rotation of the rotator 60, a housing including the rotator 60 and the stator therein, and a motor driving unit. In the field magnets 63a to 63d of the rotator 60, a part to be used for detecting the position of the rotator is formed shorter than a part working mutually with the magnetic field formed by the stator. Thus, non-magnetic pole parts 64a to 64d with large width can be formed, thereby eliminating the rapid increase of the load current.
