FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; cast heat-resistant refractory steels used to manufacture components of furnace equipment operated within temperature range 700-1100 C in furnace gas atmosphere. SUBSTANCE: proposed steel has following composition, wt.%: Carbon 0.10 - 0.46 Silicon 0.7 - 2.7 Manganese 0.3 - 2.0 Chrome 16.0 - 28.0 Nickel 8.0 - 23.0 Aluminium 0.02 - 0.45 Boron 0.0002 - 0.0010 Zirconium 0.001 - 0.010 or Tungsten 0.002 - 0.020 Iron the balance. EFFECT: proposed steel produces, when cast, crack-free castings with improved operating properties; casting process is easier adaptable to mass scale production; steel can withstand temperatures 700-1100 C in oxidizing atmosphere. |
