PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic latent image developing device capable of stably forming a thin developer layer on the circumferential surface of a developing roller with a prescribed extent of thickness by setting the substantial hardness of the developing roller constituted of a rotary shaft formed of metallic material and a solid synthetic rubber roller fitted on the rotary shaft within a prescribed extent. SOLUTION: The electrostatic latent image developing device 8 is provided with the developing roller 40 arranged in a developing housing 30 and a developer control means 70 for controlling the developer amount held on the circumferential surface of the developing roller 40, and the developer control means 70 is provided with a blade 71 formed of flexible plate glass, a flexible supporting plate 72 mounted on the blade 71 and an elastic energizing means 73 for making the blade 71 come in press contact with the circumferential surface of the developing roller 40 through the supporting plate 72. The developing roller 40 is constituted of the rotary shaft and the solid synthetic rubber roller fitted on the rotary shaft, and the hardness of the developing roller 40 is set at ASKER C hardness of 60 to 80. |
