FIELD: methods of milling. SUBSTANCE: form milling cutter in shape of arc of a circle of smallest radius of circular groove is installed perpendicular to the axis of blank rotation and cutting-in of tool is accomplished with working rotation velocity to a depth of groove, and then, coordinated rotations are given to blank and angular motion of cutter in plane running through axes of rotation of blank and tool. Angular motion of cutter is effected during its rotation and the cutter is moved for blank half revolution through an angle relative to perpendicular plane to rotation axis of blank determined by the formula offered in the invention description, and reverse angular motion is given to cutter for the other half of blank revolution. EFFECT: provision of process intensification of rough milling by making circular groove of variable profile for one revolution of blank. 1 cl, 2 dwg |
