PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CO2 liquid phase reactor which is a CO2 reactor utilizing the characteristics of iron oxide, is simple in equipment and is capable of efficiently treating the CO2 included in exhaust gases, etc. SOLUTION: This CO2 liquid phase reactor is composed of a reaction vessel 11 of which the inside surfaces are at least partly composed of the iron oxide 12 forming an anode and which is provided with a cathode 13 on the inner side and an H2 storage tank 14 and carbonate water storage tank 15 which are respectively connected via shut off valves 16, 17 to the reaction vessel 11 The reactor functions to convert the CO2 in the carbonated water to carbon and CH4 . The more preferable form includes the CO2 liquid phase reactor having a carbon removing means for removing the carbon deposited on the surface of the anode consisting of the iron oxide. |
