PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the storability of an air bag body by making the air bag body uniform in thickness when it is stored. SOLUTION: The head protecting part 22A of an air bag body 22 is folded downward into the bag body from an expansion position shown by the imaginary line and is set to the position shown by the dotted line. The lower corner (point P1) of the chest protecting part 22B of the air bag body 22 is folded into the bag body toward a diagonal L1 from the expansion position shown by the imaginary line and is set to the position shown by the dotted line. Next, two points P2, P3 crossing the diagonal L1 of an opening 23 in the chest protecting part 22B are opened horizontally, the head protecting part 22A is folded in between them, and a point P4 at the upper end of the opening 23 is set on a point P5 at the lower end of the opening 23. Then, from a front end to a rear end 22C along the direction of expansion the head protecting part is folded and stored like bellows on plan view. |
