INTERFERON GENE EMBEDDING MULTILAMELLAR LIPOSOME AND THERAPY OF MALIGNANT TUMOR USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject liposome excellent in safety in use and intake by a malignant tumor cell, especially cerebral tumor glioma cell, being a liposome embedding a plasmid incorporated with an interferon gene. SOLUTION: This interferon gene embedding multilamellar liposome is a cationic multilamellar liposome comprising (A) N-(α-trimethylammonioacetyl)- didodecyl-D-glutamate chloride, (B) dilauroyl phosphatidylcholine and (C) dioleoylphosphatidylethanolamine as constituent lipids in the constituent molecular ratio of the component A: the component B: the component C=1:2:2 and embeds a plasmid obtained by incorporating an interferon gene into RN, RSV, p RSV, CMV or CN vector (embeds an interferon-γgene in the case of RSV vector). The interferon gene is preferably a human interferon-βgene or -γgene.
