<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust the position of a printing head at the connection part thereof, to prevent a black dot or a white dot from being formed at the connection part and to prevent a discontinuous dot of density from occurring by supplying an image signal corrected so that it becomes small in the direction of the adjacent printing heads to the recording element of the connection part. SOLUTION: The signal outputted to the recording elements at the superposing part of the printing heads being the connection part thereof is controlled so as to become small in the direction of the adjacent printing heads. That means, it is controlled so that exposure becomes smaller in a direction toward the recording element 1008 from the recording element 1001 being in the direction of the adjacent printing head 21 in the case of the first printing head 20. Thus, a large-sized image can be inexpensively recorded without giving the feeling of the difference of tone reproduction between the heads 20 and 21, without increasing the deterioration of the sharpness of the superposed part and without requiring the printing head having long recording length.</p> |
