The reverse manipulation error preventing device of an automobile manual transmission gear in which a neutral return spring(19) is supported axially on a control shaft(1), and a control finger(7) on which a ball pressurized by means of a poppet spring(9) is formed on a groove(6) of the control shaft(1) is slid in left and right directions, to thereby move each shift lugs(19,20,21) to a neutral position, comprises: a locking bar(32) supported by means of a spring(31) on the one side of a boss(12) of the control finger(7) and protruded inwardly on the front end thereof; and a roto(35) installed on the outer peripheral surface of a boss(22) of a transmission gear case(5) as supporting the other end of the control shaft(1), and having an arc locking groove(37) corresponding to the locking bar(32) on the inside thereof through a torsion coil spring(33), whereby upon reverse speed change, the reverse manipulation error can be prevented by the operations of the locking bar(32), the locking groove(37) and the torsion coil spring(33).
