NEW N-4-SALISYLAMIDE -2-AMINO-6-PIPERIDIMOPYRIDINE-3-OXIDE, PROCESS FOR PREPARING THE SAME AND A HAIR TONIC COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME

The N-4-salisylamide-2-amino-6-piperidinopyrimidine-3-oxide and a hair tonic composition containing the oxide were prepared by the reaction of formula II(R is hydroxy, halogen, alkoxy, aryloxy or acyloxy group) and III. Thus, 686 mg of salicylic acid and 3 ml of SOCl2 were refluxed at 80 deg.C for 18 hours, followed by addition of CCl4 to remove the exceed SOCl2. Obtained anhydrous Na2SO4 and 250 mg of minoxidyl were stirred at room temperature, and leaved for 3 days to give the title compound.
