Autonomous anti-theft device for skis and other equipment

The anti-theft device comprises one or more vibration sensors (1) allowing measurement of the vibrations applied to the ski. There may also be position sensors (2) detecting any change in the position of the ski. A remote control device (4) is provided for remotely activating or de-activating the surveillance system associated with these detectors. An electronic control block measures the outputs from the sensors and is able to activate alarm devices (5). The alarm may includes audible, visual and/or remotely activated alarm signals (7). One or more batteries (6) provide the electrical energy for the device which is rigidly attached to the ski.
