VITERBI DECODER FOR HDTV

摘要

Viterbi decoder for HDTV, where enables to cover the data transmission rate of HDTV because the operating velocity can be to several M Symbol/sec without the special outer clock. The said decoder consists of a matrix calculating means that adds the previous accumulated matrix values to the difference value that is subtraction between the input value and the branch by the stages; an optimum path calculating means that output the information relating to the survival path of the stage and the optimum survival path using the matrix values from the matrix calculating means; and twelve path history calculating means that decides the output value in the observation area according to appointing the in/out pointer.
