The fibres are assembled along an axis and each forms an end coupling. The chemical attack is managed by the displacement (MA) of the fibre into a chemical bath (4). The speed of attack progressively eliminates matter from the fibre over a thickness belonging to the fibre end to form a cone extending from a point to a common base line along the assembly. The fibres are plasma heated symmetrically about their axes between two electrodes to soften it and shape it by surface tension. The fibres are fixed in a layer such that the ends lie in succession along a direction (DP) at an angle to the fibre axes (DL). |
