There is described a device for the accommodation of nutrient substrate bottles and associated pump designed of a rigid material as a cylindrical container 12 having closed walls. At its outside the container 12 has means 26 for holding the pump 24, and at its upper end it has a closure member 14 with which the bottle is fastened in the container 12. The opening of the bottles 30 is sealed with a bottle closure element 40 from which a line is guided radially outwards through at least one opening in the outer wall of the bottle closure element 40. The latter opening is in turn connected to the tube 28 leading to the pump 24.
