发明名称 COMPOUND MULTIFOCAL REFLECTORS FOR CONCENTRATING SHOCK WAVES
摘要 Compound multifocal reflectors for the concentration of shock waves comprised of two or more segments formed like sectors and/or rings of different or similar revolution ellipsoids. These segments are made of brass or any other metal having similar mechanical properties. These segments which form one of said reflectors may be truncated at the same height or at different heights; may have different or similar half-axes and different or similar focal distances. They may be joined in such a way that only the focuses closer to the bottom of the segments of revolution ellipsoids, generally called F1, coincide. It may also happen that the focuses (F1) of the segments of revolution ellipsoids which form the compound multifocal reflectors do not coincide. This novel arrangement permits that the shock waves generated (for example by means of an electric discharge through a pair of electrodes) in the focus (F1) closer to the bottom of the reflector, be reflected at the walls of the latter, becoming out of phase both in time and in space, producing torques and efforts at certain objects placed at the vicinity of the focus or focuses (F2) which are situated further away from the bottom of the reflector.
