Cleaning system for drink dispensing tap

The cleaning system operates on a drink dispenser which has the supply line (3) between the container (15) and the tap (1) fitted with solenoid control valves (2,8) at the ends of the line. The cleaning process isolates the container and switches cleaning fluid to backflow between the valves. The valves are synchronised in operation and the cleaning fluid is supplied with cleaning elements (4) which are pushed through the pipe and which provide a scrubbing action. The cleaning elements are held in a magazine feed (7) on the solenoid valve (2) near the tap. The cleaning fluid and cleaning elements are ducted out off the container valve (8), with the cleaning elements reclaimed by a trap (14) for re-use.
