Measuring temperature of workpiece with help of coordinate measuring unit

The method for measuring the inner temperature of a workpiece (10) is carried out using a thermometer probe (12) inserted in a bore of the workpiece. The probe is held at a distance from the bore wall (11a) and the temperature in the bore is measured. An existing bore (11) or a slot can be used as a hollow space. For the temperature measurement, an electric conducting material, with a temperature change, altering its electrical resistance, is used. Alternately, a contact voltage measurement, changing with temperature alteration, can be measured.
