<p>An essential oil evaporator (10) has a base (12) and a hollow main body portion (14). The base (12) is saucer-shaped, with a flat surface (18) and an upstanding lip (16) surrounding the surface (18). Radial ribs (20, 22, 24), provided on the base (12), extend part-way from the lip (16) to the centre of the base (12), such that a tea light (48) may be located on the surface between the inner ends of the ribs (20, 22, 24). The main body portion (14) includes a waisted section (28) having a bowl (30) at one end and an opening (32) to the interior of the waisted section (28) at the other end. The bowl (30) holds, in use, an amount of an essential oil in water, such that heat from the tea light heats the bowl (30) and its contents. Notches (34, 36, 38) are provided in the waisted section (28) at the opening (32). The notches (34, 36, 38) co-operate with the ribs (20, 22, 24) to locate the main body portion (14) on the base (12). In use, the base (12) is filled with water, which surrounds the tea light (48) and makes a seal with the opening (32) of the main body portion (14), when the main body portion (14) is located on the base (12).</p> |
