In case the control signal selected by the user is transmitted from the transmitter(11) and is inputted into the central control part(14) thru the receiver(12) and at the same time, key signal necessary for the VCR operation is inputted, the central control unit(14) judges whether the inputted control part(14) drives VCR to general mode, if judges it is recording mode, whole erasing head is worked and deck mechanism is driven by fast rewinding mode. And check whether rewinding from the picture recording starting point to the point of total erasing head is performed. And at the time of rewinding mode, erase the old image signal existing on the tape between the starting point of picture recording and the point of total erasing head.
