The device comprises an upright tubular section (5) provided in each recess (3) for supporting the storey ceiling at a predetermined bearing point. The lower end of the tubular section has a socket anchored in the bearing face and the upper end holds the scaffolding elements. The upper end of the tube section holds a horizontal support plate. This support plate projects outwards over the wall and has connecting devices at the outer end for holding scaffolding parts near the wall.
