<p>A vehicle immobilising device comprises a housing (1) having two housing portions (10, 11) adapted to be locked onto the steering wheel (2) of a motor vehicle and, when so locked, to extend over and enclose an arc of the wheel. A member (5) extends from the housing away from the steering wheel. The housing (1) has an aperture (18) adapted to accommodate a spoke of the steering wheel when the device is locked on the wheel and pins (15) extend between the two housing portions, the pins being arranged to lie close to the inner edge of the rim of the steering wheel (2) on either side of a spoke of the steering wheel when the device is fitted on the wheel. The pins (15) are preferably provided on a hinged housing portion and one of them forms the shaft of the lock (3) for the device.</p> |
