Tap joint or Tee-box for optical fibre cables

A tap joint box for optical fibre cables including a splice cassette for receiving optical fibre splices, in which the cables drawn in are freed of their encapsulations within the branching gland and the optical fibres to be spliced are inserted into the splice cassette. The optical fibre cables (5,6) are tightly laid in the interior of the tap joint box (1,2)and then inserted into a main cassette (3) in the regions (5a,6a) freed of the encapsulations, and a splicing cassette (15) for receiving the ends of the optical fibres being spliced and their splice (12) is joined with the main cassette to a brancher cassette unit (20).
