The converter (100) contains an inverter (102), an inductive coil (106) connected to the inverter's output, a capacitance (108) in series with the inductive coil, a transformer (110), diode bridge (112) and controller (118). The transformer has a primary and a secondary side. The diode bridge is connected to the secondary side. The controller is connected to the output of the diode bridge and essentially controls both the frequency and the phase delay of the inverter simultaneously.
