Inverter current source

The AC voltage is converted from a DC voltage source (1) by electronic switches. Then it is fed to a transformer (5) and rectified and smoothed, if required, by chokes (9) and capacitors (10). Four electronic switches (2-5) form a full bridge circuit on the primary side, possibly with free-wheeling diodes (19). The transformer primary with optional capacitor (11) and/or choke (12) is coupled between both middle points of the half-bridges. A choke coil of a symmetrical transductor (7) is in series with the transformer primary. The transductor contains an independent choke coil and control coil. It comprises a three-shank, or two separate annular cores. Current from the inverter source flows through the control coil.
