<p>The method involves at least one sensor unit, and uses transmission and/or reflection IR spectroscopy to determine polymer types of plastic objects or textiles. The chamber to be selected by the user is indicated by signals, or this is automatically made mechanically available. A wavelength between 700 nm and 2.5 mu is specified. For determining the spectral characteristic values, a cavity is located behind a stable wall (1), in which the body (5) to be measured can be introduced through an opening (1b), where it can be radiated and trans-illuminated from an illumination unit (2). The reflected and scattered light is recorded by a detector unit (3), the signals of which are transmitted to a microcomputer, which produces an identification signal.</p> |
