PURPOSE:To stably obtain a high quality and density by using a developer consisting of a carrier with a specific volume average diameter relatively to a liquid drip forming a liquid latent image and a toner with a specific volume average diameter as a two-pack type developer. CONSTITUTION:As a two-pack type developer for developing a liquid latent image, a developer consisting of a carrier with a volume average diameter more than the maximum average diameter value of a liquid drip forming the liquid latent image and a toner with a volume average diameter less than the maximum average diameter value thereof is used. On a rotating liquid latent image holder 1, a liquid drip made of a liquid substance is supplied from a liquid drip supply source 3 according to an image signal, applied, and held, whereby a liquid latent image is formed. The developer of the mixture of the carrier 8 and the toner 9 is drawn up to a developing device 5 by a drawing means 6, falls down to the liquid latent image holder 1 having a liquid latent image 4 on the surface thereof, and rolls on to perform a cascade development. The developed toner image is transferred under pressure onto recording paper supplied between a drive roller 2 and a transfer roller 13. |
