摘要 PURPOSE:To advantageously obtain the subject compounds, by reacting an oxidative reaction mixture of diisopropylbenzenes with molecular oxygen in an oily phase and hydrogen peroxide and acid catalyst in an aqueous phase in stirred type reactors under specific conditions, separating the oily phase and decomposing the oily phase with an acid. CONSTITUTION:An oxidative reaction mixture (A) of diisopropylbenzenes with molecular oxygen as an oily phase using an aromatic hydrocarbon as a solvent is fed to multistage stirred type reactors (2a)-(2c) and a tubular reactor 11 and H2O2 in an amount of 1-5 mol based on 1 mol diisopropylbenzenemonocarbinol monohydroperoxide (HHP) in the above-mentioned reaction mixture as an aqueous phase in >=20wt.% H2O2 concentration in the aqueous phase and 10-40wt.% acid catalyst concentration in the aqueous phase is simultaneously fed. Furthermore, weight ratio of the oily phase/aqueous phase in the afore-mentioned reactors (2a)-(2c) and 11 is >=10 and reaction temperature is 30-60 deg.C to oxidize the HHP. Phases of the resultant oxidative reaction mixture (B) are then separated in a separator 5 to decompose the dihydroperoxide in the oily phase with an acid. Thereby, the subject compounds are advantageously obtained with reduced amounts of the H2O2 and acid catalyst used and reaction time without removing water to the outside of the system, refluxing of the solvent, etc.
