<p>PURPOSE:To attain the elastic operation of a computer system by converting the display character pattern of an input message into another character pattern that can be displayed by its own terminal display device and securing the coincidence between the display area length and the input message side. CONSTITUTION:A fact that the display area length of an input display message A has five digits is known via a display area detecting device 6. Then the display character information 'LOT number' is converted into 'LOT BANGO', where BANGO is KATAKANA (the square form of Japanese syllabary), by a message converting device 7. As it is known that the display character information on the 2nd message has seven digits, the last syllable of 'LOT BANGO' of the 2nd message is omitted and five digits 'LOT BAN' is obtained. Thus it is possible to elastically cope with the change of display messages in a computer system.</p> |
