<p>Process for biological purification of liquids highly laden with impurities with the aid of bacteria, in the presence of a solid support to which the bacteria can bind, characterised in that the liquid to be purified, which has not undergone any preliminary filtration, is introduced continuously into a reactor in which a solid support of particle size between 1 and 5 mm and a density of between 1.01 and 1.3 g/cm<3> has been made turbulent by injecting gas in the presence of bacteria, the conditions needed for the metabolism of the bacteria being observed, and the treated liquid is removed continuously from the reactor after a residence time which is sufficient for an effective purification of the impurities present in the liquid to be purified.</p> |
