The arrangement consists of a trough (1), with handle (6), in which a roller (2) is free to rotate. The roller is covered with a layer of soft spongy absorbent material and protrudes from the edge of the trough. Support plates (7), for a second roller (10), are mounted either side of the roller on its pivots. The second roller (10) is mounted eccentrically on the ends of the supports (7) and runs parallel with the first roller. The position of the second roller can be adjusted with a lever (11) to bring this roller in contact with the first roller or in a position in which it is free from the first roller. When the second roller is clear of the first roller, the first roller can be rolled through a tray of paint or similar liquid.
