The method involves authenticating each user of a client/server distributed environment from a single authentication information to be stored i.e. `pass-phrase`, of determined length and utilization period. The authentication is executed in a one-time password (OTP) system integrated to a Kerberos system or in an OTP system used alone. A `modification key` derived from a single and unique `pass-phrase` of sufficient length is previously installed at a server, when the OTP system is used alone to re-initialize the `pass-phrase` at the end of the period. |
