METHOD OF FABRICATING BRIQUETS FROM CHEMICAL ENRICHMENT CONCENTRATES

FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention may be used when deoxidizing and alloying steel with manganese. To that end, concentrate is first mixed with baked dolomite observing proportion (CaO+1.4MgO)/Mn = 9.5-1.0, whereupon mixture is baked under oxidative atmosphere to produce manganite-marokite concentrate. The latter is mixed with Al-Si-Mg-Fe alloy and binding agent and briquetted. According to invention, concentrate is baked in oxidative atmosphere at 920-950 C for 1-2 h and cooled within temperature range 920-680 with rate 100-120 C/h. EFFECT: increased recovery of manganese from concentration and decreased hygroscopic properties of briquets. 1 tbl
