PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asset following system for facilitating the communication between each asset such as a rolling stock without relaying a transponder such as a satellite or a central station. SOLUTION: A following system is formed as a dynamic local area network having a master following device 100 and plural slave following devices 200, and each following device is fitted to each asset. Reliability of the communication between the following devices is improved by comparing the phase of the signal transmitted from the master following device 100 and the phase of the transmitting signal returned from one following device of the network 170 and estimating a distance from the master device 100 to the slave device 200. A decision whether the slave device is arranged in front or rear of the master device is selectively performed.
