PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the high quality and the smooth movements for the displayed images. SOLUTION: An antenna 1 and a tuner 2 receive the TV radio waves which transmit the static images at 30 screens per second. An image storage 5 is provided with 15 frame memories FM1 to FM15, and a microcomputer 11 successively fetches the received images into these frame memories to evaluate the quality of every image. Then the microcomputer 11 assumes the display patterns of different frame feeding speeds and also the display patterns of different phases against the images of memories FM1 to FM15 and performs the overall evaluation of every display pattern in regard to the frame feeding speed and the image quality to select a display pattern that has the highest overall evaluation. Based on this selected display pattern, the microcomputer 11 displays directly the oldest one of those stored images or the image equal to the preceding one on a display 3.
