The empty can charging cylinder 9 is then turned onto the cutter duct 11 by means of the arm 8 on the revolving shaft 5 connected to the bottom end of its output shaft to drop the empty can (k) onto the cutter duct 11. The dropped empty can (k) is cut by a pair of the cutters 12, 13 and the cut cans are housed into a chip housing box 15. The foreign matter such as small stone, charged from the feed port 2 falls from the vertical slit 9b of the empty can charging cylinder 9 and the spacing (h) at the bottom end of a guide plate 14 inclined toward the cutter duct 11, is blocked by the vertical projecting piece at the left and downward inclining end of the guide plate 14 and is housed into a foreign matter housing box 16 below this plate. |
